Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paulão Madureira started the match with the kick off. Luiz Fábio Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulão Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute of the match Cangonhal got a corner. Mairipora's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lino Pinheiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Cangonhal's Lino Pinheiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Luiz Fábio Leite despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Paulão Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fábio Leite having to interfere. Manuel de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Belmiro Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão Madureira in the 17th minute of play forced Mairipora's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Mairipora getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Manuel Mota hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Manuel Mota ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doni Chaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Luiz Fábio Leite stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cléber Gomes's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Ademar Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Manuel Mota left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mairipora fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Luiz Fábio Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Cangonhal's Manuel de Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Fábio Leite narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Mairipora getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Dadá Nóbrega hit a great ball. If Paulão Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cangonhal's Paulão Madureira got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Belmiro Linares made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Cangonhal's Paulão Madureira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luiz Fábio Leite. Luiz Fábio Leite yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Doni Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Manuel de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulão Madureira struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Luiz Fábio Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cangonhal. After 67 played minutes Mairipora got a freekick which was hit by Gino Medeiros. 68 minutes into the match, Cangonhal's Lino Pinheiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 70 minutes into the game, Paulão Madureira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luiz Fábio Leite. Paulão Madureira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão Madureira in the 73rd minute of play forced Mairipora's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulão Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Luiz Fábio Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão Madureira in the 80th minute of play forced Mairipora's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paulão Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manuel de Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Luiz Fábio Leite made a huge save. In the 88th minute, Dadá Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute, Cangonhal's Paulão Madureira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Paulão Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Luiz Fábio Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Manuel de Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Fábio Leite. Mairipora's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel de Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. The Mairipora fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cangonhal were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
