Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tião Arósio started the match with the kick off. William Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tião Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the game, Dagoberto Ferraz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fineza EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esteio the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Fineza EC's zone, Zé Roberto Paranaense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Soeiro came out of the goal and Zé Roberto Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. William Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadeu Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fineza EC's William Soeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Fineza EC from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute Cláudio Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didi Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tião Arósio came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Esteio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tião Arósio couldn't finish the play. After having played for 36 minutes, Jorge Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esteio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fineza EC's William Soeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Fineza EC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Paranaense in the 43rd minute of play forced Esteio's goalkeeper Didi Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteio were furious when Vágner da Silva was red carded, 45 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Márcio do Nascimento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zé Roberto Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Soeiro having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Esteio's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio do Nascimento came free, but Didi Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fineza EC's Cláudio Tepedino got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Didi Vides successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cláudio Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Fineza EC booed when Esteio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Roberto Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Esteio's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Márcio do Nascimento fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Márcio do Nascimento in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Didi Vides prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Fineza EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
