Juninho de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Tande in the 3rd minute of play. After 5 played minutes Ipoeiras got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luiz Vidal. In the 9th minute Dênis Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carajuru AD's Walmyr Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho Brodel in the 13th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Carajuru AD got a freekick which was hit by Rubens Rezende. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Walmyr Cunha successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Walmyr Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Brodel in the 19th minute of the match. Juninho de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualter Tande in the 23rd minute of the match. After 25 played minutes Ipoeiras got a freekick which was hit by Arí Vides. After 29 minutes, Marcel da Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipoeiras and the Carajuru AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcel da Fonseca hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Carajuru AD's Dênis Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Walmyr Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Brodel, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute of the match Noel Dias shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juninho de Brito showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carajuru AD's Dênis Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcel da Fonseca was shown his second yellow card after 40 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 40th match minute, Ipoeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dênis Vale made a kick off. Juninho de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dênis Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Dênis Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Juninho de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gualter Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho de Brito having to interfere. Dênis Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, Ipoeiras's goalkeeper Juninho de Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gualter Tande. Adrianinho Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Juninho de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gualter Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dênis Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walmyr Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tales Vianna, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Dênis Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ipoeiras's Tales Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tales Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmyr Cunha having to interfere. Walmyr Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tales Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
