Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gino de Amaral started the match with the kick off. Joaquim Palmeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olívio Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olívio Loureiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquim Palmeira having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Olívio Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caru's supporters rose to their feet, but Olívio Loureiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Palmeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zézinho Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Túlio Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Itaguira EC's Gino de Amaral got a free kick in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zézinho Veiga got free with Túlio Lucas in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute João Vítor Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Palmeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gino de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the match, Caru's Olívio Loureiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquim Palmeira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Zézinho Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gonçalo Moura during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 49th minute of the match Itaguira EC got a corner. Caru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ronaldinho Ramalho ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Itaguira EC's corner Ronaldinho Ramalho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Túlio Lucas quite easily take care of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Olívio Loureiro made the kick off in the second half. Caru's Gonçalo Moura got his second yellow card of the match in the 55th minute. The referee ordered Gonçalo Moura off the ground. 57 minutes into the match, Caru's goal looked a bit too open when Zézinho Veiga came free, but Túlio Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 minutes, Olívio Loureiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caru and the Itaguira EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. João Vítor Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Joaquim Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Vítor Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Itaguira EC's Zézinho Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Itaguira EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Caru's performance. The match ended with a win for Caru.
