The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oitiua's Cauan Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Víktor Valladares in the 4th minute of play. In the 9th minute Dionísio Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauan Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th match minute, Oitiua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vivaldo Furtado to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Oitiua defense, Dionísio Neto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cauan Guedes. The Oitiua fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cauan Guedes should have stopped the shot. Carreiras's Víktor Valladares got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 22 minutes, Silvério Tepedino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carreiras and the Oitiua players grew even worse after the yellow card. Silvério Tepedino hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Fernando Vergílio charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Vergílio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Carreiras getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Fernando Vergílio hit a great ball. Carreiras's Fernando Vergílio got his second yellow card of the match in the 35th minute. The referee ordered Fernando Vergílio off the ground. After 35 played minutes Carreiras got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Vergílio. Oitiua's Matías Duarte couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carreiras. Cafu Quaresma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Augusto de Queirós having to interfere. João Augusto de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu Quaresma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute, Víktor Valladares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frederico Torres received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. João Augusto de Queirós came out and tried to block the shot, but Frederico Torres slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 55th minute. Cafu Quaresma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Augusto de Queirós having to interfere. Dionísio Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, Frederico Torres recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of João Augusto de Queirós. Frederico Torres showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. 78 minutes into the game, Víktor Valladares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Cauan Guedes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84thth minute of the game Frederico Torres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carreiras's João Augusto de Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Carreiras's zone, Cafu Quaresma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Augusto de Queirós came out of the goal and Cafu Quaresma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Frederico Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cícero Brito hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Oitiua were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Carreiras's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matías Duarte took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Matías Duarte got away a dangerous shot. Despite this João Augusto de Queirós quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
