Matapagipe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José do Vale was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Maurinho Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José do Vale in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Enio Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Enio Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Duarte Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bonita's Alexandre Negri got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Enio Gomes might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duarte Alcântara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enio Gomes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bonita's goalkeeper Duarte Alcântara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kauã Veiga made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Matapagipe's goal looked a bit too open when José do Vale came free, but Maurinho Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Cordeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Cordeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. David Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute of the match Dênis Coutinho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Duarte Alcântara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Luís Fabiano Leite came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Bonita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fabiano Leite couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, José do Vale took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Maurinho Cardozo to make any attempt to save it. Enio Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Duarte Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José do Vale during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. José do Vale hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the game, Matapagipe's Álvaro de Lara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duarte Alcântara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Bonita's José do Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by José do Vale in the 84th minute of play forced Matapagipe's goalkeeper Maurinho Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrique Chaves kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. David Cordeiro thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Duarte Alcântara, a very annoying self made goal in the 90th minute which led to 2-2. Thanks to some nice moves Dorian de Amaral could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Maurinho Cardozo however easily saved by the left post. Maurinho Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
