Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ulysses Berger took the kick off in the first half of the match. Armindo Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Taquara AD's Armindo Romero got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agostinho Hoffmann hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Nildo Maia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silvinho Cearense. Barrejirnha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Silvinho Cearense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armindo Romero in the 17th minute of the match. A collision led to Barrejirnha getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Deivid Azevedo hit a great ball. Agostinho Hoffmann hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 26 played minutes, Taquara AD's Nildo Maia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Silvinho Cearense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Taquara AD reached it. After 29 played minutes Barrejirnha got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Hoffmann. If Armindo Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Pedro Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulysses Berger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute, Vivaldo Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Zé Pedro Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barrejirnha's Silvinho Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armindo Romero in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armindo Romero was the one to do the kick off. Silvinho Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Pedro Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armindo Romero struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Silvinho Cearense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taquara AD. The supporters of Taquara AD booed when Barrejirnha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deivid Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Barrejirnha's zone, Zé Pedro Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvinho Cearense came out of the goal and Zé Pedro Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barrejirnha's Silvinho Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armindo Romero in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Barrejirnha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the match, Armindo Romero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvinho Cearense. Barrejirnha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armindo Romero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 71st minute, Agostinho Hoffmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Zé Pedro Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taquara AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Pedro Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvinho Cearense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barrejirnha's Silvinho Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Pedro Arce in the 78th minute of play. Zé Pedro Arce struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Silvinho Cearense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taquara AD. Armindo Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Silvinho Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulysses Berger in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sabino Pombal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 95 minutes, Nilson Cavalcante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrejirnha and the Taquara AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Barrejirnha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Cavalcante to maneuver through the defense.
