The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cacá Valadares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Mariquita's zone, Délio Moreno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kauan Maranhense came out of the goal and Délio Moreno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the match, Mariquita's goalkeeper Kauan Maranhense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Délio Moreno. Thanks to some nice moves Délio Moreno could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Kauan Maranhense however easily saved by the left post. Guahyra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lenílson Arósio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Guahyra's Tiago Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Délio Moreno's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Kauan Maranhense skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Patrick Nogueira fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guahyra's protests and gave Patrick Nogueira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th match minute, Guahyra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. When Mariquita's Carlos Fernando Zilles in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guahyra's goalie prevented a goal. If Cacá Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. Mariquita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guahyra the free kick. A collision led to Mariquita getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Marcos de Amaral hit a great ball. The Mariquita fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Guahyra were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
