Marituba EC's Maurício Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agnaldo Leme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th match minute, Mariquita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Lenílson Arósio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kauan Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agnaldo Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 32 minutes into the game, Mariquita's Lenílson Arósio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luisinho Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Fernando Zilles in the 93rd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Mariquita's Lenílson Arósio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luisinho Aguiar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
