Vitório Viana started the match with the kick off. If Zé Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the game, Romeu de Godoy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pacuri's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montesina SC the free kick. When Vitório Viana came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Montesina SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitório Viana couldn't finish the play. If Gernando Zilles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felippe Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Viana in the 19th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vito Neto got free with Durval de Queiroz in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pacuri's Felippe Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitório Viana in the 24th minute of play. If Vito Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felippe Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Viana in the 44th minute of play. Vito Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernando Zilles in the 52nd minute of play forced Montesina SC's goalkeeper Durval de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Gernando Zilles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Vitório Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felippe Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Durval de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Zilles in the 65th minute of the match. After 67th play minutes Vitório Viana shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Felippe Linhares and just under the crossbar into goal. If Gernando Zilles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Raimundo Gonçalves hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Vitório Viana fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Durval de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Zilles in the 84th minute of the match. Felippe Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Vito Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval de Queiroz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Viana in the 94th minute of play forced Pacuri's goalkeeper Felippe Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitório Viana might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felippe Linhares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vitório Viana ran back to his position shaking his head.
