After 25 played minutes Yaurare AD got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Sá. When Luís Gustavo Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Macuje fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Gustavo Medeiros couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the match, Macuje's Luís Gustavo Medeiros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gualter Mumbach narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Virgílio Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgílio Alves got free with Robinho Bittencourt in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, Macuje's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio Trigo came free, but Robinho Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgílio Alves got free with Robinho Bittencourt in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Virgílio Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Luís Gustavo Medeiros made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Macuje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Galvão to maneuver through the defense. The corner ended in Haroldo Simões almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Macuje's Robinho Bittencourt did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Gustavo Medeiros in the 58th minute of play forced Yaurare AD's goalkeeper Gualter Mumbach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nelson Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Gualter Mumbach managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Macuje's Nelson Barral fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nelson Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter Mumbach having to interfere. Nelson Barral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Gualter Mumbach skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 69 minutes into the match, Yaurare AD's goalkeeper Gualter Mumbach had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelson Barral. After a rather tough play, Yaurare AD's Claudinho Corrêa got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Virgílio Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Bittencourt having to interfere. Robinho Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Alves in the 89th minute of play. Gabriel Sá hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Gustavo Medeiros in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gualter Mumbach saved Yaurare AD from getting behind.
