The supporters of Guaraniacu booed when Yaurare AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yaurare AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ramiro Tande was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Yaurare AD getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Claudinho Corrêa hit a great ball. Gualter Mumbach didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramiro Tande went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Guaraniacu's Adolfo Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fábio Trigo in the 19th minute of play. Virgílio Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Guaraniacu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Yaurare AD:s goal. Ian Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Tande in the 28th minute of play forced Yaurare AD's goalkeeper Gualter Mumbach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Guaraniacu fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Guaraniacu's Ian Mello looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Virgílio Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgílio Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Toscano having to interfere. Carlos Eduardo Linhares hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Guaraniacu's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio Trigo came free, but Adolfo Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Guaraniacu's Ramiro Tande got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

51 minutes into the game, Umberto Salgado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guaraniacu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yaurare AD the free kick. Umberto Salgado hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Yaurare AD's zone, Ramiro Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualter Mumbach came out of the goal and Ramiro Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adolfo Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fábio Trigo in the 60th minute of play. Yaurare AD's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Haroldo Simões in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fábio Trigo in the 64th minute of play forced Guaraniacu's goalkeeper Adolfo Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Fábio Trigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Yaurare AD booed when Guaraniacu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Fábio Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, Yaurare AD's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Tande came free, but Gualter Mumbach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ramiro Tande's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gualter Mumbach was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
