Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alexandre Batista took the kick off in the first half of the match. Joélson de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silas Rosado having to interfere. After 5 minutes, Fernando Lago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Assare and the Catajal players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th minute, Fernando Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the game, Joélson de Queiroz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Silas Rosado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Silas Rosado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Corrêa in the 15th minute of the match. A collision led to Catajal getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Tibúrcio Rosado hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Dida Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Nicolas Torres in the 20th minute really tested Charles Motta's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Assare booed when Catajal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caco Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alexandre Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dida Porto during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Assare booed when Catajal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Porto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Charles Motta. Catajal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodolfo Porto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Rodolfo Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joélson de Queiroz in the 36th minute of play forced Assare's goalkeeper Silas Rosado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charles Motta made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Rodolfo Porto sent off a good shot on target. Catajal's Joélson de Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mário Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joélson de Queiroz to strike the kick off in the second half. Mário Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rodolfo Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mário Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Assare's Danilo Vinhas got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 67 minutes into the match, Assare's goal looked a bit too open when Joélson de Queiroz came free, but Silas Rosado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Assare's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joélson de Queiroz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 74 minutes, Rodolfo Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Assare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Catajal's Charles Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Porto in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Alexandre Batista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Charles Motta. Catajal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandre Batista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Charles Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dida Porto took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silas Rosado. Silas Rosado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Silas Rosado acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 94th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cássio Proença. After a defensive mix-up in Assare's zone, Mário Corrêa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silas Rosado came out of the goal and Mário Corrêa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
