Pedro Augusto Pombal hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Paleomano's goalkeeper Lauro Dante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ezequiel Moura. Eugênio Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ezequiel Moura struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Lauro Dante made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Eugênio Tepedino sent off a good shot on target. When Ezequiel Moura came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Pune fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Moura couldn't finish the play. Eugênio Tepedino might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lauro Dante. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugênio Tepedino ran back to his position shaking his head. Ezequiel Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro Dante having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Paleomano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Célio Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. Ezequiel Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 minutes of play Paleomano's Nelson Negri was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Eugênio Tepedino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Lauro Dante made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Ezequiel Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pune's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lauro Dante breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eugênio Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro Dante having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Ezequiel Moura rounded Paleomano's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ezequiel Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugênio Tepedino in the 52nd minute of play forced Paleomano's goalkeeper Lauro Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Paleomano's Délio da Mata got a free kick in the 55th minute. Pune's Ezequiel Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the game, Délio da Mata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paleomano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pune the free kick. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paleomano's goalkeeper Lauro Dante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ezequiel Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paleomano's Lauro Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugênio Tepedino in the 65th minute of play. Pune's Eugênio Tepedino got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Pune fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Pune's Ezequiel Moura looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Pune's Eugênio Tepedino got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guto Zonta hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. With 89 minutes on the clock, Pedro Augusto Pombal commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Paleomano:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pune:s goal. The referee gave Pune a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Guto Zonta, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Paleomano's Lauro Dante. 4-0. If Ezequiel Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Paleomano getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Edson Sarmento hit a great ball. Eugênio Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro Dante having to interfere. There was no doubt that Pune were the better team. Pune's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
