Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlinhos Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Raphael Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felippe Loureiro in the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to Estendeslau getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Felippe Loureiro hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Telmo Bertassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Valdemar Dracena fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saba's protests and gave Valdemar Dracena a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes Saba got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar Dracena. Felippe Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Dudu de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Carlinhos Ramalho made a precise shot to the right of Elivélton Moreira. Estendeslau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Teodoro de Mendonça hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Carlinhos Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlinhos Ramalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlinhos Ramalho struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Elivélton Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saba. After 38 minutes of play, Saba's Carlinhos Ramalho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elivélton Moreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! 42 minutes into the match, Saba's goalkeeper Raphael Damião had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilberto da Cunha. The Estendeslau players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Saba were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felippe Loureiro made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Saba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telmo Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. Dudu de Amorim hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Ulisses de Sena's late challenge caught a Saba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulisses de Sena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th match minute, Estendeslau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses de Sena to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Estendeslau's Elivélton Moreira got control of the ball when Carlinhos Ramalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elivélton Moreira made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Carlinhos Ramalho sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Elivélton Moreira managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Saba's Carlinhos Ramalho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Leandro Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Estendeslau getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Américo Freitas hit a great ball. Leandro Vinhas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elivélton Moreira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. In the 88thth minute of the game Leandro Vinhas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estendeslau's Elivélton Moreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ulisses de Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Saba's Fernão Catarinense couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Estendeslau. Carlos Augusto Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Saba's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
