Tony Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Belchior Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 15 in the game by Orlando Marques from a close distance when the talented Ciro de Toledo managed to make a qualified save. Deliciosa's players were relieved. Tony Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magno Cordeiro having to interfere. The supporters of Deliciosa booed when Olympia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cacá Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Cacá Senna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olympia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deliciosa the free kick. After a rather tough play, Olympia's Cacá Senna got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 34 played minutes Olympia got a freekick which was hit by Cacá Senna. In the 35thth minute of the game Belchior Ribeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olympia's Magno Cordeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Magno Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belchior Ribeiro in the 37th minute of the match. With a little luck, Deliciosa's Ciro de Toledo got control of the ball when Orlando Marques tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Belchior Ribeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Deliciosa's Belchior Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th match minute, Deliciosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Secco to maneuver through the defense. Orlando Marques struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Ciro de Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympia. Tony Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Deliciosa's zone, Orlando Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro de Toledo came out of the goal and Orlando Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orlando Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro de Toledo having to interfere. Ciro de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Marques in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquinhos de Andrade in the 85th minute of play forced Deliciosa's goalkeeper Ciro de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
