In the 10th minute, Ismael Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 13 minutes, Erivaldo Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cunani SS and the Carandahy FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ramiro Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Tomás Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Cunani SS's zone, Zézinho Ceresso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Carlos Antunes came out of the goal and Zézinho Ceresso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zézinho Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Antunes having to interfere. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cunani SS's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Antunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ismael Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Antônio Carlos Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antônio Carlos Antunes made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Ismael Ribeiro sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Carandahy FC's Zézinho Ceresso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Antônio Carlos Antunes. That made the score 1-0 after 38 minutes of play. Ramiro Goiano charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramiro Goiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Carandahy FC's Ramiro Goiano got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carandahy FC's goalkeeper Silvinho Breckenfeld, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardo Ortiz was the one to do the kick off. The long shot by Lucas Paulista in the 56th minute really tested Silvinho Breckenfeld's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience was convinced that Ismael Ribeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antônio Carlos Antunes was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Antônio Carlos Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Ceresso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Antônio Carlos Antunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Carandahy FC. 76 minutes into the match, Carandahy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Ortiz came free, but Silvinho Breckenfeld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Eduardo Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvinho Breckenfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvinho Breckenfeld having to interfere. Antônio Carlos Antunes came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Carandahy FC's Ismael Ribeiro. But to his dismay, Ismael Ribeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Zézinho Ceresso struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Antônio Carlos Antunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carandahy FC. 95 minutes into the game, Silas Abraão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carandahy FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cunani SS the free kick. In the 95th match minute, Carandahy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas Abraão to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cunani SS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
