Hortêncio Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuca Quadros having to interfere. Zé Roberto Marquess short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Samuca Quadros to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luiz Gustavo Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Vasconcelos having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Túlio Varela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elivélton Vasconcelos was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Elivélton Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raí Lopes in the 39th minute of the match. Samuca Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Roberto Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Elivélton Vasconcelos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Túlio Varela's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. After 59 played minutes Bacuriti got a freekick which was hit by David de Souza. With an all-out effort, Ibicua's Elivélton Vasconcelos threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Túlio Varela, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Túlio Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Elivélton Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Gustavo Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Elivélton Vasconcelos made a huge save. If Túlio Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bacuriti's Elivélton Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Varela in the 93rd minute of play. 99 minutes into the match, Bacuriti's Rodolfo Ceresso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuca Quadros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ibicua played a much better game than Bacuriti and deserved their victory. The Bacuriti players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
