Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) A collision led to Capibaribe getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Marcinho Araújo hit a great ball. Capibaribe's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Túlio Varela scored to the left of an out of position Felipe Matorin, making the score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Ibicua's zone, Aloísio Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuca Quadros came out of the goal and Aloísio Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Capibaribe's Felipe Matorin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Varela in the 16th minute of play. Túlio Varela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felipe Matorin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Capibaribe got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho Araújo. Felipe Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ibicua booed when Capibaribe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felipe Matorin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Varela, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 32nd match minute, Capibaribe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcinho Araújo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Luiz Gustavo Barreto got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Túlio Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Matorin having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Capibaribe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raí Silva to maneuver through the defense. Felipe Matorin was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Túlio Varela capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Túlio Varela really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Carlos de Barros was the one to do the kick off. Aloísio Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuca Quadros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aloísio Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Gustavo Barreto struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Felipe Matorin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibicua. When Ian de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capibaribe's protests and gave Ian de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, Túlio Varela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felipe Matorin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After having played for 73 minutes, Luiz Gustavo Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibicua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Gustavo Barreto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Túlio Varela in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felipe Matorin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 79thth minute of the game Luiz Gustavo Barreto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capibaribe's Felipe Matorin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Samuca Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Carlos de Barros in the 83rd minute of play. Túlio Varela scored 4-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felipe Matorin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Felipe Matorin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the game, Enio Cunha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ibicua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capibaribe the free kick. After 95 played minutes Ibicua got a freekick which was hit by Enio Cunha. Aloísio Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuca Quadros having to interfere. Ibicua's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
