Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antônio Mineiro started the match with the kick off. After 5 played minutes Thiago Lima rounded Mambuquinha SC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After 15 played minutes Ixu SC got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Pinheiro. In the 15th minute of the match Osmar Paiva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Belchior Mazza skillfully saved the ball. Frank Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osvaldinho Mumbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belchior Mazza having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldinho Mumbach in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Belchior Mazza saved Ixu SC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldo Cunha during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ixu SC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ronaldo Cunha hit a great ball. Eugênio Meira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Seco in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the game, Antônio Carlos Proença was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mambuquinha SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ixu SC the free kick. In the 33rd minute, Antônio Carlos Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Célio Santos during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 40 minutes into the match, Mambuquinha SC's Carlos Rosado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Belchior Mazza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Antônio Mineiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Belchior Mazza was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. 47 minutes into the match, Mambuquinha SC's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Lima came free, but Eugênio Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Belchior Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Rosado kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Mambuquinha SC's Eugênio Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Seco in the 65th minute of play. Osvaldinho Cabral's late challenge caught a Ixu SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldinho Cabral helped the player get up and apologised. After 69 played minutes Mambuquinha SC got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldinho Cabral. Frank Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Eugênio Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugênio Meira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thiago Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Thiago Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio Meira having to interfere. During the 75th minute of the match Ronaldo Cunha completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ronaldo Cunha a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Osvaldinho Mumbach struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Belchior Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mambuquinha SC. In the 88th match minute, Ixu SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Rossi to maneuver through the defense. Osvaldinho Mumbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belchior Mazza having to interfere. Osvaldinho Mumbach could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Belchior Mazza made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ixu SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mambuquinha SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
