João Pedro Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldinho Mumbach in the 42nd minute of the match. Belisario FC's Zé Augusto Mumbach got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacinto Pimenta's late challenge caught a Mambuquinha SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
