Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Giovani de Mendonça took the kick off in the first half of the match. Giovani de Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Giovani de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varadouro's supporters rose to their feet, but Giovani de Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Reis made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Emanuel Paiva sent off a good shot on target. If Nelson Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldinho Barbosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agostinho Mineiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Emanuel Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Reis having to interfere. Jefferson de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Robinho Leite sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Plataform's Jonathan Reis didn't even have to move. 16 minutes into the match, Emanuel Paiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Reis. Plataform's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Paiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Giovani de Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Jonathan Reis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varadouro. Varadouro's Giovani de Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Giovani de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelson Cosme's late challenge caught a Varadouro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nelson Cosme helped the player get up and apologised. Nelson Cosme hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Osvaldinho Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plataform's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldinho Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvaldinho Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelson Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovani de Mendonça in the 97th minute of play forced Plataform's goalkeeper Jonathan Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
