Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Apody's Evandro Gomes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 13 minutes into the match, Paula's Reinaldo Simão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raí Cabral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th minute of the match, Luisinho da Cunha got a very nice opportunity to score, but Raí Cabral was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mateus Guimarães in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raí Cabral saved Apody from getting behind. Raí Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateus Guimarães in the 21st minute of the match. Paula's Luisinho da Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 25 minutes, Mateus Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paula's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateus Guimarães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luisinho da Cunha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Raí Cabral skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mateus Guimarães made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mateus Guimarães in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raí Cabral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 53 minutes into the match, Mateus Guimarães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raí Cabral. Apody's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mateus Guimarães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 59th minute Mateus Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raí Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belchior Galvão hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Válter de Carvalho, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 69 played minutes Apody got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Pimenta. 70 minutes into the match, Paula's Serginho Saraiva broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Mateus Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Raí Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes in the game, Emílio Novaes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Adhemar Nóbrega having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Apody's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Guimarães came free, but Raí Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paula's Luisinho da Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mateus Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raí Cabral came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Paula's Luisinho da Cunha. But to his dismay, Luisinho da Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Mateus Guimarães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raí Cabral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Apody's Raí Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateus Guimarães in the 93rd minute of play. When Paula's Luisinho da Cunha in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Apody's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee ended the match the Paula players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
