The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Claudinho Cordeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matías Jacinto's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Barros in the 8th minute of play forced Frois SS's goalkeeper Claudinho Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Frois SS booed when Martinesia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júnior Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Albertino Santana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th minute, Júnior Chaves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albertino Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15thth minute of the game Erivaldo Prestes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Martinesia's Edmundo Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Frois SS's Claudinho Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Barros in the 20th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dráuzio Saraiva during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 30 minutes into the game, Juvenal Barros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Claudinho Cordeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th play minute Albertino Santana came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Edmundo Varela. 1-1. Matías Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Cordeiro having to interfere. Juvenal Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Claudinho Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matías Jacinto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lenílson Andrade hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Albertino Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Juvenal Barros came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Martinesia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juvenal Barros couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute Matías Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Norberto Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Frois SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Martinesia the free kick. In the 88th match minute, Martinesia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Koehler to maneuver through the defense. Edmundo Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertino Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Erivaldo Prestes struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Edmundo Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frois SS. Martinesia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
