In the 3rd minute, one of Perdizes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Perdizes. When the match had been going on for 5 minutes, Ibate FC's Cacá Favoretto got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Pedro do Valle. Pedrinho Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Paulinho Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrick Jacinto took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro do Valle. Pedro do Valle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When Flávio Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Ibate FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flávio Medeiros couldn't finish the play. The Perdizes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro do Valle should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Ibate FC booed when Perdizes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Perdizes getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Marquinhos Guimarães hit a great ball. Perdizes's Pedrinho Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Ibate FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Perdizes had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
