When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Dagoberto Quaresma put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Yan Souto. Ronaldinho Ceresso scored 0-2 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yan Souto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Egídio de Barros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitinho Brodel was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Pongai AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Egídio de Barros scored to the left of an out of position Vitinho Brodel, making the score, 1-2. Yan Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Quaresma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erik Prado struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Vitinho Brodel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aricobe. Pongai AD's Dagoberto Quaresma got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dagoberto Quaresma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Ceresso in the 39th minute of play forced Aricobe's goalkeeper Yan Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dagoberto Quaresma to strike the kick off in the second half. Erik Prado might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vitinho Brodel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erik Prado ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 59th minute Nelson Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 played minutes Pongai AD got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Antunes. 81 minutes into the match, Pongai AD's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Prado came free, but Vitinho Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Pongai AD's Dagoberto Quaresma in the 83rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Yan Souto was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Aricobe through an amazing save. Ronaldinho Ceresso struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Yan Souto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pongai AD. Dagoberto Quaresma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Ronaldinho Ceresso made a precise shot to the right of Yan Souto. Aricobe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4.
