Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luciano Duarte started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luciano Duarte during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 2nd match minute, Correntao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Duarte to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldinho Ceresso in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Fernando Moreno saved Correntao from getting behind. Dagoberto Quaresma took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Fernando Moreno. Luís Fernando Moreno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Kauã Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Brodel having to interfere. Ronaldinho Ceresso struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Luís Fernando Moreno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pongai AD. Luciano Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Brodel having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Dagoberto Quaresma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Fernando Moreno was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Pongai AD's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luciano Duarte 25 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. A collision led to Correntao getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Guilherme Vidal hit a great ball. Dagoberto Quaresma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Correntao's Luciano Duarte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vitinho Brodel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 39th minute Ronaldinho Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fernando Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Correntao's Luís Fernando Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dagoberto Quaresma in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Pongai AD booed when Correntao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauã Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Inácio Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Luciano Duarte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitinho Brodel was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Nelson Antunes charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nelson Antunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 69th match minute, Pongai AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Antunes to maneuver through the defense. When Correntao's Luciano Duarte in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pongai AD's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Luciano Duarte put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Vitinho Brodel. If Dagoberto Quaresma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitinho Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 80th match minute, Pongai AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Augusto do Valle to maneuver through the defense. Vitinho Brodel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Fernando Moreno didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 86th minute, which inside left pole to 2-4. Luís Fernando Moreno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldinho Ceresso in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Pongai AD's Dagoberto Quaresma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Fernando Moreno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dagoberto Quaresma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Luciano Duarte came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Correntao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Duarte couldn't finish the play. The Pongai AD players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
