In the 22nd minute Dorival Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Váldson Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiago Marques made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Gugu Peixoto sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute, Itapirapua's Rui Galvão dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Tiago Marques successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 41st minute, Carlos Augusto Eger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute, Rui Galvão reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tiago Marques. The goal made the score 2-0.

The wind increased when Rui Galvão made the kick off in the second half. Manolo Lucas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Váldson Velasco made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manolo Lucas got free with Váldson Velasco in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manolo Lucas in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Itapirapua's Váldson Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Pires in the 93rd minute of play. Célio Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cutias FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Itapirapua.
