Dinei Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Zilles's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. With a little luck, Jaboticaba's Dinei Amorim got control of the ball when Cafu Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jaboticaba's Dinei Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Jaboticaba from getting a goal against them. In the 17th minute, one of Diadema:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Diadema. After 23 played minutes Diadema got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Fontes. Duda Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Marques in the 24th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Diadema was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio Fontes to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Duda Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Valdo Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Jaboticaba were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Zilles to make the kick off. After 61 minutes of play, Diadema's Cafu Cordeiro made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dinei Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! 69 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Diadema's Cafu Cordeiro fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Cafu Cordeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dinei Amorim was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cafu Cordeiro in the 75th minute of play forced Jaboticaba's goalkeeper Dinei Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armindo Tinoco charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armindo Tinoco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cafu Cordeiro in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dinei Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Jaboticaba getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Acácio Prata hit a great ball. Acácio Prata charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Acácio Prata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th match minute, Jaboticaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acácio Prata to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, Diadema's goalkeeper Duda Damião had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdo Ramalho. A collision led to Diadema getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Wágner Loyola hit a great ball. In the 96th minute of the match Douglas da Silveira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Duda Damião showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
