But to his dismay, Valdo Ramalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Golabeira SC's Manfredo Cruz got a free kick in the 6th minute. Golabeira SC's Vladimir Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Marques in the 10th minute of play. Valdo Ramalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Vladimir Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Proença having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute, Pedro Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diego Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Pedro Marques made a precise shot to the right of Vladimir Proença. Golabeira SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Dinei Amorim was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Ramiro Prado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ramiro Prado really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. 47 minutes into the match, Golabeira SC's Manfredo Cruz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dinei Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Golabeira SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jaboticaba were winning 1-2.

When Durval Mineiro fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Golabeira SC's protests and gave Durval Mineiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Durval Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clemente Tande, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Valdo Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Proença having to interfere. Manfredo Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinei Amorim having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manfredo Cruz in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dinei Amorim saved Jaboticaba from getting behind. If Manfredo Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manfredo Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Dinei Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdo Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jaboticaba walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
