Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lúcio Motta kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute, Guga Gaúcho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlinhos de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Marcelo Branco as he didn't even see the shot coming. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lúcio Motta in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Branco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 22 minutes into the match, Cafungo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Motta came free, but Marcelo Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Cafungo FC's Guga Gaúcho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afonso Secco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Guga Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cafungo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guga Gaúcho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Secco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Afonso Secco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlinhos de Amaral in the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Carlinhos de Amaral made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Edeia's João Augusto Silva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Branco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Lúcio Motta came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Edeia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Motta couldn't finish the play. 54 minutes into the game, Lucas Linares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cafungo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edeia the free kick. Luisão Jacinto's late challenge caught a Cafungo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luisão Jacinto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute, Luisão Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonso Secco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlinhos de Amaral in the 64th minute of the match. Gustavo Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Branco having to interfere. 68 minutes into the game, João Augusto Silva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marcelo Branco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Afonso Secco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guga Gaúcho in the 74th minute. Lúcio Motta's late challenge caught a Cafungo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lúcio Motta helped the player get up and apologised. If Guga Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Gustavo Mello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Edeia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cafungo FC the free kick. Gustavo Mello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
