With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Branco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute, César Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guga Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Carlos Fernando Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Fernando Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlinhos de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Aratingauba booed when Cafungo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesinha Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlinhos de Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Fernando Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Marcelo Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Koehler in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Aratingauba getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. David Marinho hit a great ball. Davi Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Branco having to interfere. The supporters of Cafungo FC booed when Aratingauba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Hames didn't get a good kick on the ball.
