Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) José Carlos Montenegro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With his leg Adhemar Negri managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Camaca EC's Emílio Favoretto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Camaca EC booed when Luisburgo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute Nuno Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Camaca EC's zone, Nuno Proença stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lauro de Brito came out of the goal and Nuno Proença tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Camaca EC's Emílio Favoretto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adhemar Negri. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. João Pedro Paraíba took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adhemar Negri. Luisburgo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lauro de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Peixoto in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Luisburgo FC's goalkeeper Adhemar Negri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Luisburgo FC's Luís Gustavo Loyola got a free kick in the 25th minute. Lauro de Brito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Peixoto went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 36th minute there was a penalty for Camaca EC. Paulo José da Silva stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Adhemar Negri. 2-1. After 39 played minutes Luisburgo FC got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Proença. Lauro de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Peixoto in the 42nd minute of play. José Carlos Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Adhemar Negri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Favoretto in the 59th minute of play forced Luisburgo FC's goalkeeper Adhemar Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Lauro de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celsinho Ferraz came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lauro de Brito could save by the left post. Adhemar Negri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Carlos Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Luisburgo FC's Adhemar Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Carlos Montenegro in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Luisburgo FC's Donato Rezende got a free kick in the 76th minute. Emílio Favoretto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adhemar Negri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After some careless play in the Luisburgo FC defense, Emílio Favoretto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adhemar Negri. The Luisburgo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adhemar Negri should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute, Paulo Peixoto fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lauro de Brito, passed just outside the right post.
