Zé Carlos Mineiro scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guga Cardoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Dracena in the 16th minute of play forced Uara's goalkeeper Magno de Godoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caririacu FC's goalkeeper Guga Cardoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guga Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Melo in the 22nd minute of the match. A collision led to Caririacu FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Adhemar Varela hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josué Oliveira in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Magno de Godoy saved Uara from getting behind. In the 34thth minute of the game Josué Oliveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uara's Magno de Godoy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Caririacu FC's Josué Oliveira in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uara's goalie prevented a goal. Vitinho Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga Cardoso having to interfere. When Vitinho Melo came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Uara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho Melo couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josué Oliveira in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Magno de Godoy prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Caririacu FC were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Uara's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ian Fontes took the corner. Uara's Vitinho Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vitinho Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Guga Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74thth minute of the game Vitinho Melo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caririacu FC's Guga Cardoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guga Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho Melo in the 76th minute of play. If Zé Carlos Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 played minutes Caririacu FC got a freekick which was hit by Adhemar Varela. The supporters of Uara booed when Caririacu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Oliveira in the 90th minute of play forced Uara's goalkeeper Magno de Godoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernani Neves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guga Cardoso having to make a save. Caririacu FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
