Gerson Furtado in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Andrézinho Pirani, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gerson Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Andrézinho Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cafu Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Maurinho Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho Pirani having to interfere. Cristian Furtado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Couto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Hyutanaha's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Zonta came free, but Fernando Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gildo Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. With his leg Andrézinho Pirani managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Hyutanaha's Gerson Furtado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gerson Furtado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrézinho Pirani having to make a save. Hyutanaha's Gildo Bittencourt suffered a sore thigh after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The supporters of Hyutanaha booed when Pocone SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cafu Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Maurinho Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pocone SC's Andrézinho Pirani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Pocone SC from getting a goal against them. 49 minutes into the match, Hyutanaha's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Furtado came free, but Fernando Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerson Furtado to make the kick off. After having played for 59 minutes, Cristian Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pocone SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Furtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute, Gilberto Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Furtado in the 66th minute of play. When Marco Terra fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hyutanaha's protests and gave Marco Terra a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pocone SC booed when Hyutanaha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Furtado in the 70th minute of the match. Gerson Furtado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrézinho Pirani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Gerson Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hyutanaha's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerson Furtado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrézinho Pirani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hyutanaha's Gerson Furtado got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gerson Furtado struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Andrézinho Pirani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hyutanaha. The Pocone SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pocone SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
