If Betão Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Estanhado's zone, Betão Severo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Braga came out of the goal and Betão Severo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Estanhado's William Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Severo in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Severo in the 11th minute of play forced Estanhado's goalkeeper William Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Betão Severo struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. William Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gororos SC. In the 22nd minute Marcel Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Guto Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narciso Freire made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilson Alvarenga in the 28th minute. Walmyr Proença charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Walmyr Proença the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
