Edu Torres was slow to take the kick. During this time Felixlandia SC's players had a chance to rest. Víktor Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fábio Souto having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Canche EC's Dionísio Nascimento got a free kick in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Víktor Santos in the 14th minute of play forced Canche EC's goalkeeper Luís Fábio Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Canche EC's goal looked a bit too open when Víktor Santos came free, but Luís Fábio Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isaltino Goiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Luís Fábio Souto made a huge save. Décio Valle might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. If Víktor Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 47 minutes, Décio Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canche EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Décio Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Víktor Santos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Décio Valle came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Canche EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Décio Valle couldn't finish the play. 54 minutes into the game, Dráuzio Mumbach cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Artur Costa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Dráuzio Mumbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Felixlandia SC booed when Canche EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Felixlandia SC's Víktor Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Fábio Souto narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
