Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Percy Tande kicked off to start the match. José Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Miguel Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Queiroz in the 7th minute of play forced Abertao's goalkeeper Miguel Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10th play minutes Luiz Fábio Leal shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Miguel Diniz and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Abertao's zone, José Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Diniz came out of the goal and José Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Diniz having to interfere. Luiz Fábio Leal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Miguel Diniz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. José Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Diniz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Luiz Fábio Leal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Miguel Diniz made a huge save. 29 minutes into the game, Percy Tande cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Manfredo Mendonça was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aljezur's Elder de Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th match minute, Aljezur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiori Fontes to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Fábio Leal got free with Miguel Diniz in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luiz Fábio Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Miguel Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aljezur's Manfredo Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Tande in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Queiroz to strike the kick off in the second half. Aljezur's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Percy Tande scored to the left of an out of position Manfredo Mendonça, making the score, 1-2. 66 minutes into the match, Aljezur's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Tande came free, but Manfredo Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Percy Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elder de Amaral hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. José Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luiz Fábio Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Queiroz in the 84th minute of play. If Percy Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Percy Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Dário de Queiroz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Abertao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aljezur the free kick. After 92 played minutes Abertao got a freekick which was hit by Dário de Queiroz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fábio Leal in the 96th minute of play forced Abertao's goalkeeper Miguel Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abertao were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Aljezur's much stronger midfield.
