Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Arequembaua AD's Gildo de Medeiros started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Perico SC's zone, Evandro Salgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilvan Cruz came out of the goal and Evandro Salgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildo de Medeiros in the 21st minute of play forced Perico SC's goalkeeper Gilvan Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Augusto Brito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dito Carvalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Eusébio Paes's late challenge caught a Perico SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusébio Paes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Perico SC booed when Arequembaua AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Augusto Brito in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dito Carvalho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Perico SC's goalkeeper Gilvan Cruz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evandro Salgado in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilvan Cruz saved Perico SC from getting behind. Thomás Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Arequembaua AD's Dito Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Ferraz in the 38th minute of play. José Augusto Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Dito Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gildo de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gildo de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Gilvan Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Perico SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arequembaua AD the free kick. Thomás Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Dito Carvalho came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Perico SC's Jorge Ferraz. But to his dismay, Jorge Ferraz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Dito Carvalho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Ferraz went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Gildo de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 82 minutes into the match, Arequembaua AD's goal looked a bit too open when José Augusto Brito came free, but Dito Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dito Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Jorge Ferraz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dito Carvalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Evandro Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danilo Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildo de Medeiros in the 97th minute of play forced Perico SC's goalkeeper Gilvan Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Perico SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Arequembaua AD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
