Mauro Soares helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes Direcao FC got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Lucas. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelinho Freire got free with Antônio Carlos de Lara in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute, Lúcio Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antônio Carlos de Lara made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Marcelinho Freire sent off a good shot on target. Raúl Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Seco having to interfere. Mauro Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Gilson Seco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 38 minutes, Hélio Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Direcao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélio Furtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raúl Lucas might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilson Seco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raúl Lucas ran back to his position shaking his head. After 42 played minutes Destino AD got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Madureira. Alex Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Seco having to interfere. Raúl Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gilson Seco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After 58 minutes, Hélio Furtado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Direcao FC and the Destino AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sebastião Madureira did an outstanding performance 81 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-1 to the right of an irritated Antônio Carlos de Lara in the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Raúl Lucas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Direcao FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Destino AD the free kick. In the 86th match minute, Direcao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Lucas to maneuver through the defense. Direcao FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
