Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Rômulo Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Maia in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 3rd minute Edvaldo Barros suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Ronaldão Furtado hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Adhemar Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséias Martins in the 13th minute of play. When Princesa SS's Oséias Martins in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Abertao EC's goalie prevented a goal. Anselmo Mineiro's late challenge caught a Princesa SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Mineiro helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Abertao EC got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Mineiro. Princesa SS's Manolo Romero shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 22nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Adhemar Marques but with some difficulty. In the 23rd match minute, Abertao EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Zanette to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Princesa SS's Manolo Romero tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Rômulo Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clóvis Lago in the 31st minute of the match. Rômulo Dante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clóvis Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Elias Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Torres struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Adhemar Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Princesa SS. Elias Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clóvis Lago made a kick off. Elias Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar Marques having to interfere. Clóvis Lago's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Rômulo Dante skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 57th minute, Elias Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Abertao EC's Edmundo Maia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rômulo Dante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rômulo Dante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clóvis Lago's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Rômulo Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Zanette in the 62nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Oséias Martins put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Adhemar Marques. When Tião de Barros fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Abertao EC's protests and gave Tião de Barros a yellow card for diving instead. Tião de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Manolo Romero shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adhemar Marques showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Abertao EC's Waldemar Meirelles got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Edmundo Maia hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Elias Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clóvis Lago might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rômulo Dante. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Clóvis Lago ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd minute, Clóvis Lago fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rômulo Dante, passed just outside the right post. Princesa SS's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
