Cléber Barbosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Natanael Sabóia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Francisco Cosme hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Nelson Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fábio Palmeira made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Nelson Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cléber Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Inveia SS defense, Nelson Marinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Natanael Sabóia. The Inveia SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Natanael Sabóia should have stopped the shot. Natanael Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Francisco Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute of the match, Fábio Palmeira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Telmo Gonçalves saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 79th minute, João Francisco Cosme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Natanael Sabóia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 84th minute Cléber Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natanael Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Marinho in the 87th minute of play forced Inveia SS's goalkeeper Natanael Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nelson Marinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natanael Sabóia having to make a save.
