When Júlio Alves fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flora FC's protests and gave Júlio Alves a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Júlio Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Renato Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renato Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sidney Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th match minute, Palmyra SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. If Sidney Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Palmyra SS getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Sydney Guerra hit a great ball. Aníbal Paranaense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Gonçalves having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, Flora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Alves to maneuver through the defense. Luís Paulo Mandrak was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The attack was good, but when Luís de Toledo in the 31st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tony Diniz got free with Renato Gonçalves in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luís de Toledo took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Renato Gonçalves. Renato Gonçalves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Tony Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Sydney Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, Edinho Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Luís de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Palmyra SS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Flora FC were winning 1-2.

A hard shot 52 in the game by Sidney Prata from a close distance when the talented Noel Moraes managed to make a qualified save. Palmyra SS's players were relieved. In the 53rd match minute, Palmyra SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel do Vale to maneuver through the defense. Flora FC's Sidney Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sidney Prata might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Noel Moraes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sidney Prata ran back to his position shaking his head. Noel Moraes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sidney Prata showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 65 minute of play. Flora FC's Renato Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís de Toledo in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st match minute, Palmyra SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. Edinho Vinhas shot from long distance in the 72nd minute, but Noel Moraes was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 80th match minute, Palmyra SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. Flora FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edinho Vinhas in the 82nd minute. Palmyra SS's Noel Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Carlos Antunes in the 88th minute of play. Renato Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís de Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Renato Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís de Toledo in the 94th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Flora FC's Wanderson de Sena got a free kick in the 94th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Flora FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
