The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes, Betim Saint Italian's Valdomiro de Lara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper João Francisco Aguiar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Betim Saint Italian reached it. A collision led to Jumirim getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Rodrigo Furtado hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Gualter Botelho took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for João Francisco Aguiar to make any attempt to save it. João Francisco Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. A collision led to Betim Saint Italian getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Wiliam Simão hit a great ball. Ulisses Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Jumirim's zone, Ulisses Félix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Francisco Aguiar came out of the goal and Ulisses Félix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oséias Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ulisses Félix's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Francisco Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gualter Botelho made a kick off. João Francisco Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualter Botelho in the 54th minute of the match. Oséias Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Carlos Augusto Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Botelho in the 72nd minute of play forced Jumirim's goalkeeper João Francisco Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Oséias Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Francisco Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualter Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Betim Saint Italian's zone, Dário de Godoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Augusto Meira came out of the goal and Dário de Godoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Betim Saint Italian's Frederico Montenegro in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jumirim's goalie prevented a goal. João Francisco Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualter Botelho in the 88th minute of the match. João Francisco Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After a rather tough play, Jumirim's Miguel Medeiros got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Jumirim players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Betim Saint Italian from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
