The supporters of Cajueirinho AD booed when Angicalinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 played minutes Angicalinho got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Palmeira. Waldemar de Almeida took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Durvalino de Sena. Angicalinho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yuri Diniz during the 18th minute. Edmílson Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvinho Sabóia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmílson Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. Álvaro Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Silvinho Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Cajueirinho AD's goalkeeper Silvinho Sabóia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Álvaro Capixaba. 40 minutes into the match, Angicalinho's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Cordeiro came free, but Durvalino de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aníbal Amaral was slow to take the kick. During this time Angicalinho's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Aníbal Amaral almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cajueirinho AD's Silvinho Sabóia did a great save. If Álvaro Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Álvaro Capixaba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Angicalinho fully deserved thier win.
