Edmílson Brito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnaldo Correia having to make a save. Durval Miranda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Durvalino de Sena made a huge save. In the 23rd minute Edmílson Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nico Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Durvalino de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnaldo Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmílson Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Nico Pena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Durval Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 42 minutes, Álvaro Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Angicalinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Álvaro Capixaba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Renatinho Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Camba rufa city's Patrício Cordeiro got a free kick in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nico Pena made a kick off. Durval Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Álvaro Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Osvaldinho Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angicalinho's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aníbal Amaral in the 69th minute. Angicalinho's Aníbal Amaral was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnaldo Correia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Durvalino de Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durval Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Arnaldo Correia made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Álvaro Capixaba sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd minute Nico Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durvalino de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Álvaro Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Durval Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durvalino de Sena having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Angicalinho's Hélder Duarte got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, Jonathan Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durvalino de Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Miranda in the 93rd minute of play. Durval Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute, Durval Miranda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Durvalino de Sena was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
