The audience was convinced that Alfredo Neiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgard Secco was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Umberto de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Mineiro in the 33rd minute of the match. Samuel Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Umberto de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgard Secco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Neiva was the one to do the kick off. Umberto de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernani Corrêa in the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Samuel Mineiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sidnei do Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgard Secco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Sidnei do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Secco having to interfere. If Alfredo Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júnior Fonseca during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Andresa SS's Júnior Fonseca got a free kick in the 67th minute. Jacata EC's Jerônimo Amaral couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Andresa SS. Edgard Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgard Secco made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Sidnei do Vale sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute, Alfredo Neiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Umberto de Mendonça was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
