With an all-out effort, Baiaozinho's Amauri Bueno threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dorival Paiva, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dorival Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Claudinei Berger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Amauri Bueno made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisão Macedo to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Dorival Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amauri Bueno was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After having played for 56 minutes, Claudinei Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baiaozinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinei Berger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dorival Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luisão Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo de Salles having to interfere. Amauri Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Paiva in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Paiva in the 68th minute of play forced Veadeiros's goalkeeper Amauri Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Claudinei Berger made a precise shot to the right of Amauri Bueno. Veadeiros's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 95th minute, Claudinei Berger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Baiaozinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1.
