With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dalmo Antunes in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiago Gabriel Vieira saved Passaxunga from getting behind. Washington Recife in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tiago Gabriel Vieira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Washington Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot. CRAC's supporters rose to their feet, but Washington Recife was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiago Gabriel Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Passaxunga's goalkeeper Tiago Gabriel Vieira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Washington Recife came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the CRAC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Washington Recife couldn't finish the play. Dino dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovânio Queiroz in the 44th minute of play. Murillo Queirós's late challenge caught a Passaxunga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Murillo Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. Murillo Queirós hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Washington Recife in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiago Gabriel Vieira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Washington Recife came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the CRAC fans jumped to their feet. Passaxunga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CRAC the free kick. Tiago Gabriel Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmo Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. If Dalmo Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Dalmo Antunes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiago Gabriel Vieira. Passaxunga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dalmo Antunes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Passaxunga's Igor Secco got his second yellow card of the match in the 82nd minute. The referee ordered Igor Secco off the ground. A collision led to Passaxunga getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Igor Secco hit a great ball. When Geovânio Queiroz fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Passaxunga's protests and gave Geovânio Queiroz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, Geovânio Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Gabriel Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmo Antunes in the 90th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CRAC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Passaxunga had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
