With his leg Dino dos Santos managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Jijoca SC's Leonardo Donato fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Szymon Prusinowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fábio Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Washington Recife recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Jijoca SC's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Recife came free, but Szymon Prusinowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Kiko Saldanha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dino dos Santos. Kiko Saldanha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 27th match minute, CRAC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olívio Capixaba to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute Washington Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Szymon Prusinowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Jijoca SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo Antunes came free, but Szymon Prusinowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Dubilas struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Dino dos Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jijoca SC. Jijoca SC's Leonardo Donato got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Szymon Prusinowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmo Antunes in the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Hernani Dante ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Szymon Prusinowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Washington Recife took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Szymon Prusinowski. Szymon Prusinowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dalmo Antunes was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Hernani Dante recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Szymon Prusinowski. Hernani Dante showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. After 55 minutes of play, Jijoca SC's Edgar Dubilas made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dino dos Santos was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 59th minute, Edgar Dubilas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jijoca SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-3. In the 63rd minute Dalmo Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Szymon Prusinowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Jijoca SC's goalkeeper Szymon Prusinowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Washington Recife. If Edgar Dubilas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CRAC's Dino dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Donato in the 70th minute of play. After some careless play in the Jijoca SC defense, Washington Recife kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Szymon Prusinowski. The Jijoca SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Szymon Prusinowski should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Washington Recife got free with Szymon Prusinowski in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 7-4 when Edgar Dubilas sped through CRAC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dino dos Santos. Dino dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kiko Saldanha in the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, Patrick Trancoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CRAC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jijoca SC the free kick. Patrick Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the CRAC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Jijoca SC.
